HI, I'M YETING!

I’m a Registered Dietitian and the founder of Simple Balance Nutrition, helping families build healthier, happier relationships with food. Since 2016, I’ve supported parents through common feeding challenges including picky eating, starting solids with Baby-Led Weaning, food allergies, constipation, growth concerns, and mealtime stress.

With over a decade of experience in clinical nutrition and as a mother of three, I understand both the science and the day-to-day realities of feeding children. My work combines evidence-based nutrition, responsive feeding strategies, and sensory–oral motor skills training to give families practical tools that actually work.

A dietitian with over 10 years of experience and a mom of 3 kids. I founded Simple Balance Nutrition in 2016 with the goal of building a place where people could receive science-based nutrition information. I’ve spent a lot of time studying and working in the world of food, culture and parenting. My primary goal is to share evidenced-based strategies and help you make mealtimes more peaceful so that your children will develop a healthy relationship with food.

How Simple Balance Nutrition Came to Life

When I first started my career as a dietitian, I primarily worked in chronic disease prevention and weight management, helping adults make healthier food choices, manage their health, and feel more confident in their eating habits. It was meaningful work, but something was missing.

As the years passed, I began to notice a troubling pattern: parents were constantly inquiring about their children’s nutrition. They weren’t just curious, they were anxious.

“My toddler refuses vegetables, what should I do?”

“Everyone online says something different about Baby-Led Weaning. How do I know what’s safe?”

“I feel like I’m failing because my child is such a picky eater.”

I saw how misinformation, unrealistic advice, and mom-guilt left families feeling overwhelmed and powerless at the dinner table. And as a mother of three myself, I understood those struggles on a very personal level. I knew what it was like to sit at the table, worried and frustrated, wondering if I was “doing it right.”

That’s when my focus shifted.

I realized my calling wasn’t just in general nutrition, it was in child and family nutrition. I wanted to help parents raise confident, curious eaters and create peaceful mealtimes where food becomes a joy, not a battle.

So in 2016, I founded Simple Balance Nutrition.

This became my space to share practical, science-based guidance that’s also realistic for busy parents. Over time, my work evolved from guiding families through Baby-Led Weaning, to supporting parents with picky eating strategies, to helping moms prioritize their own nutrition and wellness.

Why This Matters

In Malaysia, there are very few dietitians who specialize in child nutrition and feeding challenges. That means many families struggle without the right support.

I created this site for one simple reason:
